Across the 50 states and District of Columbia, as of January 2015, the percentage of office-based physicians using electronic health records (EHRs) ranges from a high of 74% in Wyoming to the low of 54% in Rhode Island. The five states with the highest rates of EHR use by office-based physicians in 2015 are: Wyoming (74%), South Dakota (72%), Utah (71%), Iowa (70%), and Arkansas (69%).
