Eight States Had A Significant Drop In The Uninsured Rate In 2015

The uninsured rate in eight states, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and New York dropped significantly. Nationwide, the uninsured rate has dropped from 11.5% in 2014 to 9.1%by September 2015. The uninsured rate among working age adults between 18 and 64 years old has dropped from 16.3% in 2014 to 12.9% by September 2015.

In the eight states, changes in the uninsured rate among working age adults were as follows:

Arizona—The rate dropped from 19.5% in 2014 to 13.6%
California—The rate dropped from 16.7% in 2014 to 11 . . .
