Empire BlueCross BlueShield Added Virtual Behavioral Health Companies Alma, Headway, NOCD & Ophelia To Its New York Network

On August 23, 2022, Empire BlueCross BlueShield announced it had added four virtual behavioral health provider organizations to its network. The companies are Alma, Headway, NOCD, and Ophelia. Empire is one of the largest insurers in the state. The goal is to help Empire members access behavioral health services more easily.

Alma and Headway both help independent mental health professionals accept health insurance. Both offer consumers a searchable directory of affiliated clinical professionals.
