FDA Selects 9 Organizations For New Digital Health Precertification Pilot Program

On September 26, 2017, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that it had selected participants for a new digital health software precertification pilot program. The program aims to advance the development of novel digital health applications. The program partners include:

Apple, Cupertino, California: creator of the "Health," "CareKit," and "ResearchKit" tools.
Fitbit, San Francisco, California: creator of the wearable fitness tracker line bearing the company's name, a smart scale, and a digital coach app.
