Feds Award $169 Million In Funding To 266 New Community Health Center Sites
On August 11, 2015, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced approximately $169 million in funding for 266 new community health center sites across 46 states and the District of Columbia. The funding was awarded to provider organizations seeking to launch a new start-up community health center site and to existing community health center provider organizations seeking to open a satellite site. The new sites will provide comprehensive primary health care services to nearly 1.2 million people in underserved communities or vulnerable populations.
