Feds Project 5.8% Average Annual Health Care Spending Growth Through 2024

Total health care spending growth in the United States is expected to average 5.8% annually in aggregate over 2014 through 2024. Medicare spending is projected to have grown by 5.3% in 2014 to $616.8 billion. Medicaid spending is projected to have grown by 12.0% in 2014 to $503.3 billion. Private health insurance spending is projected to have grown by 6.1% in 2014 to $1.02 trillion.
