Florida Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care Expands Statewide, Legislature Considering Fate Of PACE

As of March 2014, Florida Medicaid has expanded its Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care (SMMC LTC) Program to all counties. Now the Florida legislature is considering whether the state should maintain or consolidate its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) programs with the SMMC LTC.

The SMMC LTC enrolls frail elderly and disabled Medicaid beneficiaries, including those dual eligibles who are also enrolled in Medicare.
