Geisinger’s New Nurse Dress Code Inspired By Consumer Feedback
Geisinger Medical Center recently changed its dress codes for nurses and other front-line employees based on findings from a survey of consumers. The survey assessed the perceptions of people who received care at the medical center; the survey questions focused on factors affecting how these consumers perceived the quality of care and professionalism of the nursing staff. The survey responses indicated that 57% of consumers had trouble identifying which caregivers were registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, or nursing assistants.
