A group of health care provider organizations is suing the 36 independent Blue Cross & Blue Shield (BCBS) licencees and the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association for anticompetitive practices related to provider network policies. The plaintiffs allege that the BCBS licensees agreed to fix prices for services nationwide rendered by health care providers through the BCBS licencees.
