Humana Pays Physician Groups $77 Million For Quality Outcomes

On November 12, 2015, Humana Inc. announced that it distributed $77.2 million in value-based reward payments to physician groups across the United States who participated in Humana’s Provider Quality Rewards Program during 2014. The Provider Quality Rewards Program is part of Humana’s Accountable Care Continuum that provides financial rewards for outcomes and physician group preparedness for participating in value-based arrangements. Approximately 3,700 physician groups received rewards payments from Humana in recognition of improved outcomes for Humana’s Medicare members made during 2014. In 2013, Humana paid $60 million in reward payments to provider practices . . .
