Indian Health Service Launches Four-State Medicaid & Medicare Enrollment Pilot
On July 20, 2016, the Indian Health Service (IHS) announced it was launching a new effort to increase Medicaid and Medicare enrollment of American Indian and Alaska Natives at six health facilities in four states: Arizona, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The pilot targets American Indians and Alaska Natives using IHS services who are eligible for, but not enrolled in, Medicaid and Medicare.
The goal is to increase Medicaid and Medicare enrollment in the selected sites, help the IHS identify best practices to increase Medicaid and Medicare enrollment in all communities, and leverage resources to provide access to quality . . .
