On November 17, 2014, Kaiser Permanente announced it was launching retail clinics in four Southern California Target stores located in Vista, San Diego, Fontana, and West Fullerton. Kaiser Permanente will staff the new clinics with licensed nurse practitioners, licensed vocational nurses, and will have physicians available by telemedicine consultations. The clinics will provide care to Kaiser Permanente members and non-members covered by a broad range of other insurance plans.
