Kansas Proposing Changes To Four Medicaid HCBS Waivers

On December 31, 2014, the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) submitted four 1915 Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) waiver renewals for federal approval by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The waivers include proposed changes to standardize definitions and policies to support person-centered planning across the Frail Elderly, Intellectual/Developmental Disability (IDD), Physical Disability, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) waivers. CMS granted a temporary extension of these waivers through March 27, 2015.
