Kindred Wins Bid To Privatize Arkansas Home Health Business

On June 20, 2016, the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) announced it had signed a definitive agreement with Kindred Healthcare, Inc. to purchase ADH’s in-home health care operations. The $39 million purchase price includes licenses to provide home health, hospice, and personal care services throughout the State of Arkansas. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016, pending several regulatory and other approvals.
