L.A. Care Health Plan Launches Program To Allow Consumers Without Bank Accounts To Pay Premiums In Cash
On April 20, 2015, L.A. Care Health Plan in Los Angeles, California launched a program that allows plan members without bank accounts to pay their health insurance premiums in cash. The program is for L.A. Care Covered plan members who purchased health insurance coverage from L.A. Care through Covered California, the state’s health insurance marketplace. For this program, L.A. Care Health Plan partnered with PayNearMe, which will accept premium payments at any participating stores, such as 7-Eleven and Family Dollar. There is no additional cost to L.A.
