La Frontera Sues United Behavioral For Misrepresentation About New Mexico Behavioral Health Services

Arizona-based La Frontera Center is suing United Behavioral Health (United) d/b/a OptumHealth New Mexico, the state’s former Medicaid and non-Medicaid behavioral health administrator, for fraud and for misrepresentation. The suit focuses on United's request for La Frontera to develop behavioral health services in the State of New Mexico. La Frontera says United and its parent organization UnitedHealthcare misrepresented material facts about the timeliness and basis on which its subsidiary La Frontera New Mexico would be paid and claims that United owes it at least $12.6 million, which includes $3.9 million for 30 . . .
