Los Angeles County Launches Free Health Program For Uninsurable
On October 1, 2014, the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services launched the My Health LA Program (MHLA), a no-cost health care program for low-income uninsured county residents. The MHLA program is a restructuring of a previous program called Healthy Way LA-Unmatched. The Department of Health Services is implementing the program via partnerships with 164 local community clinics and health centers that had been participating in the previous program.
