Maryland To Fund Wellness Promotion Via Faith-Based Organizations

The State of Maryland plans to fund training on wellness promotion programming for faith-based organizations to equip the organizations for helping their members reduce chronic disease risk factors. These include unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, hypertension, and overweight/obesity. The goal is to support organizations or groups that are already conducting wellness promotion work in faith-based settings and develop sustainable wellness promotion efforts.
