Due to a legal ruling issued on March 4, 2020, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has ceased enforcing the state’s Medicaid Healthy Michigan community engagement participation and reporting requirements for the Medicaid expansion population. The requirement initially went live on January 1, 2020, and the state’s 674,000 non-disabled Medicaid beneficiaries ages 19 to 64 were required to report their work hours of at least 80 hours per month, participation in education, or participation in other approved activities.
