On November 30, 2021, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) expanded its Medicaid Opioid Health Home (OHH) initiative to three new regions. The OHH initiative provides intensive care management and care coordination services for Medicaid beneficiaries diagnosed with an opioid addiction.

Individuals who meet the OHH criteria work with a team of clinical professionals who provide coordinated and integrated behavioral and physical health care to address the beneficiary’s complete health and social needs. Participation is voluntary and enrolled beneficiaries may opt out at any time. In Michigan, half of Medicaid beneficiaries have an untreated mental illness . . .
