Michigan Expands Opioid Health Home Services To Additional Counties
On January 26, 2023, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced the expansion of its Medicaid Opioid Health Home (OHH) initiative to more Michigan counties. The OHH provides intensive care management and care coordination services for Medicaid beneficiaries with an opioid use disorder (OUD) who live in one of the eligible Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP) regions. The PIHPs manage Medicaid and non-Medicaid public specialty behavioral health services. Beneficiaries enrolled in an OHH work with a team of professionals who attend to the beneficiary’s complete health and social needs.
