Michigan Medicaid Preparing To Pilot Integrated Behavioral & Physical Health Projects

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is preparing to launch pilot projects to integrate Medicaid behavioral and physical health services. On December 20, 2017, MDHHS released a request for information (RFI) seeking responses from community mental health service provider organizations (CMHSPs) collaborating with Medicaid health plans (MPHs) in the same geographic areas about their interest in participating in a Medicaid pilot program to integrate specialty behavioral health services with physical health services. Responses are due February 13, 2018. The state intends to choose up to three pilot sites by February 28, 2018.
