Michigan Medicaid To Add Intensive Care Coordination With Wraparound As A New State Plan Benefit
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is planning to establish Intensive Care Coordination with Wraparound (ICCW) as part of Targeted Case Management state plan service. This proposal will remove wraparound from the state’s Serious Emotional Disturbances Waiver, and children enrolled in the waiver will be able to access ICCW via the state plan. At the same time, MDHHS plans to implement the MichiCANS tool for Medicaid-Funded Specialty Behavioral Health Services. The tool will be used to determine eligibility for ICCW.
