Michigan Medicaid To Launch Addiction Recovery Incentives Pilot To Test Motivational Payments
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is launching a two-year recovery incentives pilot in January 2025 for people receiving addiction treatment. To support the pilot, on October 9, 2024, MDHHS announced it had contracted with CHESS Health to manage the motivational financial incentives to be issued to participants who meet treatment and recovery goals during the 24-week program, such as negative urine drug tests and attending treatment sessions.
