Michigan Medicaid To Launch Recovery Incentives Pilot Contingency Management Addiction Treatment Program
On June 4, 2024, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced it had approved eight pre-paid inpatient health plans (PIHPs) to participate in the Recovery Incentives Pilot for addiction treatment. The pilot will provide cash-equivalent incentives to Medicaid beneficiaries in recovery from an addiction disorder who achieve treatment goals. Medicaid beneficiaries with a diagnosis of stimulant use disorder, opioid use disorder, or both, will be eligible to participate in the pilot.
