Starting in January 2025, Michigan Medicaid health plans will be able to offer members additional services considered “in lieu of services” (ILOS) to reduce food insecurity and address members’ health-related nutrition needs. ILOS are services that the state deems to be medically appropriate and cost-effective when provided as substitutes for other Medicaid-covered services.
