Michigan Rebids Medicaid Managed Care Contracts For 2024 To Implement MIHealthyLife Initiative
On October 30, 2023, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) released a request for proposals (RFP 240000000139) to rebid its Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contracts for the Comprehensive Health Care Program (CHCP). The rebid is part of MIHealthyLife, an initiative launched in 2022 to strengthen Medicaid services through new Medicaid health plan contracts. Responses are due by January 16, 2024. The new contracts are slated to go live on October 1, 2024, and run through September 30, 2029, followed by three one-year optional periods.
