Michigan Requires Parity Insurance Coverage For Physical Health & Behavioral Health Benefits
Michigan is implementing recently signed legislation that requires insurance coverage for mental health and addiction disorder treatments at parity with coverage for physical health services. The bill was signed on May 21, 2024. Any plan that can meet the standard set by the Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act will be considered to meet the requirements of state law.
