Minnesota To Expand Access To Integrated Medicaid Special Needs BasicCare Managed Care Plans

On February 8, 2016, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) released a request for proposals (RFP) for the Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC) program, which provides managed care services for adult Medicaid beneficiaries with disabilities. The procurement, which is focused on 62 of the state's 87 counties, has a split focus. Firstly, the state seeks to increase the number of Medicaid-only plan choices in the 62 counties.
