Minnesota Reports Patient-Centered Medical Homes Cut Medicaid Costs By 9%

In January 2014, Minnesota Medicaid reported that the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model of health care delivery had reduced Medicaid costs by 9.2% during a three-year period. During the same period (2010-2012), the PCMH clinics outperformed non-PCMH clinics on quality measures related to cancer screening, asthma, diabetes, vascular care, and depression.
