National Uninsured Rate Among Working Age-Adults Falls To 15% After Marketplace Open Enrollment
The uninsured rate among adults ages 19 to 64 dropped by five percentage points between July 2013 and June 2014, from 20% to 15%. The five percentage point drop represents an estimated 9.5 million adults who were formerly uninsured before open enrollment started for subsidized health insurance through the health care Marketplace or Medicaid.
