Nevada Audit Finds Health & Safety Violations At Majority Of Homes For Adults With Mental Illness
The majority of Nevada’s community-based living arrangement (CBLA) homes for adults with mental illness had health and safety violations. An inspection found unsanitary and unsafe conditions, poor medication management practices, and other conditions that could negatively affect quality of life for the residents.
The CBLA homes are for adults who receive services through Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS), Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS), and Rural Counseling and Supportive Services.
