Nevada Foster Care Lawsuit Moving Forward To Trial Date

A federal civil rights lawsuit against the child welfare system in Clark County, Nevada is moving forward to a trial date sometime in 2014. On December 10, 2013, a federal judge set pre-trial deadlines for the Henry A. v. Willden lawsuit, with a proposed joint pretrial order due by July 14, 2014. A trial date has not been set yet.

The Henry A. v. Willden lawsuit was filed in April 2010 against the state and the county by the National Center for Youth Law (NCYL) on behalf of 13 children formerly under the care of the Clark County Department . . .
