Nevada Issues An RFP For a Coordination-Only Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan
The Nevada Health Authority (NVHA) has released a request for proposals (RFP 41NHA-S3627) for another contractor to provide a statewide Coordination-Only Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (CO D-SNP) for beneficiaries eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
A CO D-SNP is a type of Medicare Advantage (MA) Plan, designed for dual eligibles, that coordinates care between Medicare and Medicaid benefits. Currently, Nevada’s CO D-SNP program serves three types of dual eligibles: Full Benefit Dual Eligible, Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB), and Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Plus (QMB+) in selected areas of the state.
