Nevada is planning to expand Medicaid managed care to rural areas of the state by January 2026. The Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP), within the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will start preparations for the expansion in the summer of 2023. The Nevada legislature approved funding of $3.8 million to cover costs to prepare for implementation. DHHS anticipates releasing a request for information (RFI) later in the summer of 2023.
