On July 1, 2022, the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) launched a new statewide community-based program to support people transitioning from a psychiatric hospital to the community. The program is called Critical Time Intervention (CTI). It provides intensive care transition services that start while people are preparing for discharge from a psychiatric inpatient setting to community-based services and supports in their home communities. DHHS anticipates serving up to 600 people annually through CTI psychiatric transitions to community.
