New Hampshire DHHS Proposes Expanding Youth Psychiatric Treatment Beds At State Hospital
On April 28, 2017, the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) asked the legislature to allocate $3 million so that DHHS could expand the number of youth psychiatric treatment beds at New Hampshire Hospital (NHN), the state psychiatric hospital. The $3 million would be used to design a new children’s unit. The goal is to increase capacity for adults, and by increasing capacity reduce the wait time for admission.
