New Hampshire Medicaid Adds Mobile Crisis Intervention Services
The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) received federal approval for its Medicaid state plan amendment (SPA) to cover community-based mobile behavioral health crisis intervention teams. The mobile crisis teams will be able to connect Medicaid-eligible individuals experiencing a mental health or addiction disorder crisis to a behavioral health provider organization.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the SPA on September 12, 2024. The approval is retroactive to April 1, 2024.
