New Jersey Rebids $300 Million Medicaid Non-Emergency Transportation Broker Contract

On December 17, 2015, the New Jersey Procurement Bureau rebid the Department of Human Services (DHS) contract for a statewide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) broker for Medicaid managed care and fee-for-service (FFS) beneficiaries. The current contract, valued at about $300 million, is held by LogistiCare and is due to expire on June 30, 2016. The transportation service is used by disabled beneficiaries needing critical services such as dialysis, rehabilitation, physical therapy, chemotherapy, or for children attending behavioral health programs.
