New Mexico Home Visiting Program Launch Is Two Years Behind Schedule
The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) home visiting program launch is two years behind schedule. In September 2011, CYFD was awarded a two-year Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) grant valued at $2.65 million. In the grant application, CYFD had anticipated launching the new services at four pilot sites by September 2013. The four sites are Luna, McKinley, and Quay counties and the South Valley neighborhood of the City of Albuquerque.
