Medicaid Beneficiaries Report Similar Access To Care & Fewer Problems With Medical Bills Than Individuals With Private Insurance
Adults between the ages of 19-64 with Medicaid are just as likely as adults with private insurance to have access to quality care and less likely to report problems with medical bills or medical debt. About 94% of individuals with private coverage and 94% of individuals with Medicaid coverage reported having a regular source of health care. About 53% of individuals with private coverage and 55% of individuals with Medicaid coverage rated the quality of their health care as excellent or very good in the past twelve months.
