New York City Selects Talkspace For $26 Million Contract To Launch ‘Teenspace’ Free, Online Counseling Service For Youth
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) in partnership with Talkspace launched a three-year contract valued at $26 million for “NYC Teenspace,” a free, virtual mental health service for youth ages 13 to 17. The launch was announced on November 15, 2023. Teenspace will offer youth the ability to connect with a licensed therapist through phone, video, and chat. Youth will also have access to self-guided mental health resources. As needed, Teenspace will also refer youth to additional services.
