New York To Establish Behavioral Health Teams To Address Street Homelessness Outside New York City
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) plans to contract with provider organizations to establish behavioral health teams that will operate as Safe Options Support (SOS) to provide services to individuals experiencing homelessness in eight areas of the state outside New York City. The state is providing $38.2 million to establish the eight teams and fund operations for five years, starting July 1, 2023.
