By 2026, New York intends to have 39 Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), three times more than the current 13. To start the expansion, on July 6, 2023, the New York State Office of Mental Health, Office of Addiction Services and Supports and the Department of Health released a request for proposals (RFP) to provide $3.5 million to support development of 13 new CCBHCs within the state’s 10 economic development regions (EDR). Responses to the RFP are due by September 28, 2023, and awards are anticipated by November 1, 2023.
