NYC Announces New Plan To Improve Public Mental Health System
On March 2, 2023, New York City (NYC) Mayor Eric Adams released a plan of investments to improve the city’s public mental health system. Investments totaling $20 million will target three areas: family and child mental health, the overdose crisis, and support for people diagnosed with serious mental illness (SMI).
To improve family and child mental health services, the plan calls for:
