Oklahoma Medicaid Cancels SoonerHealth+ RFP For ABD Population
On June 14, 2017, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) cancelled a Request for Proposal (RFP) for SoonerHealth+, the fully capitated, statewide model of care coordination that has been in development for Oklahoma Medicaid’s aged, blind and disabled (ABD) population. The decision was made after the legislature denied OHCA's request for approximately $52 million to fund the implementation expenses related to the care coordination model. Due to lack of funding, OHCA has no plans to in the immediate future to reissue the SoonerHealth+ procurement.
