On September 15, 2015, Royal Philips and the Netherlands-based Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) introduced a prototype digital health diabetes care management mobile application based on the salesforce.com customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Philips and Radboudumc researchers are developing a series of condition-specific applications to simplify chronic disease self-care management for patients and their health care professionals. The diabetes prototype, focused on Type 1 diabetes, is the first to be developed. A pilot release is slated for the end of 2015, but pricing details have not been announced.
