Primary Care Doctors Spend More Than 50% Of Workday On Documenting In The EHR
Primary care doctors spend more than 50% of a workday on documenting in electronic health records (EHRs). In total, these doctors spend 355 minutes (5.9 hours) of an 11.4 hour workday in the EHR. Of the 355 minutes spent on EHR activities, about 75.8% (269 minutes) were spent during clinic or office hours, and 24.2% (86 minutes) were spent after clinic or office hours.
