U.S. Uninsured Rate Declined To 11.5% In 2014
In 2014, about 11.5% of the United States population under age 65 were uninsured, representing 36 million people. The number of uninsured decreased between 2013 and 2014, by about 8.8 million people. The percentage of uninsured people under age 65 decreased from 14.4% in 2013 to 11.3% in April–September 2014. Among adults aged 18 to 64, the percentage who were uninsured decreased from 20.4% in 2013 to 15.9% in April–September 2014.
