Health Care Access Improved For Low-Income Non-Elderly Adults Between 2013 & 2015
Between 2013 and 2015, more low-income adults between ages 18 and 64 had health insurance, more reported having a regular source of primary care, and fewer reported delaying medical care due to cost. The gains were highest for low-income adults in households in states that expanded eligibility for Medicaid by mid-2015 under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA).
